Chris Pritchett
Currently the Head Coach of the UBC Thunderbirds who play NAIA
Chris Pritchett’s Pro Baseball career spanned 13 years , including 10 years with the Anaheim Angels organization, and a year each with the Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs.
An All-American at UCLA, Chris earned All Pac 10 honors as a Sophomore and set the UCLA Record for Hits Within a Single Season.
In 1991, Chris was drafted by the Angels in the second round.
Chris made All Star appearances at all Minor League levels, and logged Major League service time in 1996, 1998 and 1999 with the Angels, as well as during the 2000 season with the Phillies. Chris has been coached by many of the best, including former major leaguer Hal McCray, Terry Francona, Larry Bowa, and Hall of Famer Rod Carew.
Since retiring from baseball in 2003, Chris has completed his Bachelor of Arts in History at UCLA, studied Performance Enhancement with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, received a Masters in Exercise Science. Chris is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist. The past few years have brought Chris work as hitting coach for the Vancouver Canadians (Oakland A’s farm team), a strength and conditioning coach at Twist Conditioning, as well as working with Big League Experience and Baseball BC coaching and presenting at camps and clinics in Canada and the US for Little Leaguers, College Players and Pros.
